Peace Bowl

This stunning bowl is a collborative piece executed with artist Dennis Daudenlin for submission to a joint exhibition of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers and the American Association of Woodturners. The exhibit was ConneXtions and it was shown as part of the 2007 Gathering conference. There is still a great flipbook of the exhibit at www.isgb.org under "exhibitions". The beads say "peace" in different languages. Dennis Daudelin executed the outstanding turned bowl with technically complex "windows" to hold the beads. The collaborators worked entirely by phone and internet, never meeting until the three bowls they mader were completed.
